Genowefa Sowa

Genowefa Sowa (late Kazimierz), aged 93, was a cherished mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt, and friend whose warmth and kindness touched the lives of many. She was the loving mother of Ursula (Christopher) Mendyk and the late Mark, a dear grandmother to Michael (Elizabeth) and Kathryn, and a devoted great-grandmother to William.

Genowefa treasured her relationships deeply, holding friendships close to her heart and sharing joy with all who knew her. Her commitment to community was evident in her active participation with the Polonia Club at St. Constance, where she found connection and purpose.

As we remember and celebrate Genowefa’s life, the family kindly requests that, in lieu of flowers, donations be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital, continuing her legacy of love and generosity. Her spirit will forever remain in the hearts of those who loved her.
