Janina Karas

It is with great sadness and sorrow that Karas family announces the passing of Janina Karas,
born on August 14 th , 1936. Wife of late Czeslaw Karas, daughter of Wiktoria and Zygmunt Czarny, sister
of Stefania Grudzien, Julia Nowak, and brother Jozef Czarny. As a devoting mother, Janina dedicated her
life to nurturing and supporting her five children, Maria (Henry) Czuj, Danuta (John) Nelson, Wladyslawa
(Jacek) Andruszkiewicz, Cecylia (Late Chester) Walendzinski and Ryszard (Jolanta) Karas.
As a devoted grandmother, she enjoyed and played a vital role in the lives of eighteen
grandchildren, Jason, Christopher, John, Michael, and Alexis Czuj, Zachary, Cassandra, Alexander, and
Kelly Nelson, Peter, and Mark Andruszkiewicz, Melissa, Kathy, Jessica, and Tiffany Walendzinski, Nicole,
Michelle, and Eric Karas. Janina lived long enough to enjoy some time with five great grandchildren,
Reese and Matthew Czuj, Vivian and Sophie Czuj, and Connor Pitts, she also survived by nieces,
nephews, relatives, and friends.
Our loving mother enjoyed and cherished live, she played vital role within our family, she has
thought us how to pray, work hard, dance, sing and believe in ourselves. She enjoyed farming,
gardening, and planting beautiful flowers just to see them grow in her favorite month of May. Mom was
always full of strength and positive energy.
When she learned of her illness, and new the end is near she prayed every day to live until May
3rd to celebrate Matki Boskiej Krolowej, God answered her prayer, she passed away Saturday morning
May 4th, 2024.

Mom, thank you for everything you have done for us kids, we LOVE YOU! and you will forever
live in our hearts and minds, may you rest in peace.
