Maria Smolinska

Maria Smolinska passed away on August 27, 2026, at the age of 92. Born on June 29, 1934, Maria lived a long life marked by devotion to her family and the enduring bonds she shared with those closest to her.

She will be remembered with deep love by her husband, Antoni Smolinski, and by her children, Halina Smolinski, Krystyna Smolinski, and Henryk Smolinski. Her family circle also includes her sons-in-law, Walter and Marius, and her daughters-in-law, Barbara, Janelle, and Marilou. Maria’s love extended across generations, and she leaves behind her grandchildren, Janusz (John), Daniel, Zofia, and Elzbieta, as well as her great-grandchildren, Maden, Benjamin, and William. Each of them carries forward the memory of her presence, her care, and the place she held at the heart of the family.

Family and friends are invited to gather in Maria’s memory at a visitation on September 2, 2026, from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Pietryka Funeral Home, 5734 W Diversey Ave, Chicago, IL 60639.

Maria will be dearly missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew her. Her memory will remain a lasting blessing to her family and to those whose lives were touched by her.
