Rafael Ruvalcaba

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Rafael Ruvalcaba, beloved husband, father, and grandfather, who us on November 4, 2024. Rafael was born on November 14, 1953, and was a lifelong resident of Chicago, IL.

Rafael was a man of great strength, kindness, and integrity. He dedicated his life to his family and his work, always putting others before himself. He was the husband of Graciela, his partner for over 47 years, and the proud father of Noland, Tanya, and Abigail. Rafael cherished his children and offered them unwavering love and support, always guiding them with wisdom and compassion.

Throughout his life, Rafael demonstrated a strong work ethic, humility, and a sense of humor that endeared him to all who knew him. He was a loyal friend, a trusted confidant, and a caring neighbor.

A memorial service to honor Rafael’s life will be held on November 8th at 4PM, at Pietryka Funeral Home. Visitation will follow until 9 PM at the same location. Another opportunity to celebrate his life will be on November 9th with a Mass at St. John Berchmans.

Rafael’s spirit will live on in the hearts of all who loved him. He will be deeply missed but never forgotten.

Con profunda tristeza anunciamos el fallecimiento de Rafael Ruvalcaba, querido esposo, padre y abuelo, quien nos dejó el 4 de Noviembre de 2024. Rafael nació el 14 de Noviembre de 1953 y fue residente de Chicago, IL.

Rafael fue un hombre de gran fortaleza, bondad e integridad. Dedicó su vida a su familia y su trabajo, siempre poniendo a los demás antes que a sí mismo. Fue el amoroso esposo de Graciela, su compañera por más de 47 años, y el orgulloso padre de Noland, Tanya y Abigail. Rafael valoraba profundamente a sus hijos y les brindaba un amor y apoyo inquebrantables, guiándolos siempre con sabiduría y compasión.

A lo largo de su vida, Rafael demostró una fuerte ética de trabajo, humildad y un sentido del humor que lo hacía querido por todos los que lo conocían. Fue un amigo leal, un confidente de confianza y un vecino atento. Su legado vivirá a través del amor y los recuerdos que deja atrás.

Un servicio conmemorativo para honrar la vida de Rafael se llevará a cabo el 8 de Noviembre a las 4 p.m. en la funeraria Pietryka.

El espíritu de Rafael vivirá en los corazones de todos los que lo amaron. Lo extrañaremos profundamente, pero nunca lo olvidaremos.
