Valerie Kristyna Moreno

Valerie Kristyna Moreno, 28, also lovingly known as Cheena and Nina, passed away on April 25, 2026. Born on September 28, 1997 in Chicago IL, lived a life loving art, music, animals, and children.

Graduated from Tate HS in Cantonment FL, she volunteered at Rosewood Healthcare, providing free manicures to the elderly residents. Doing any design they requested, which she almost always pulled off, to where she was requested weekly.

Valerie is survived by her parents Christina Cassidy and Frank Moreno. Her son Cillian Shomo, and friend Ethen Shomo.

Her siblings Kala, Joshua, Ava, Sean, Jesse, Vida, Sylas and, Alaina.

Her grandparents Hipolito and Louella Moreno.

Her niece Esmé, and nephews William and Johnathan.

And many Aunts, Uncles, Cousins and, friends.

She was preceded in death by her great-grandmother "Busia" Valerie Ware, her Uncle Angel, Aunt Susan and, her cat Kitana.

A viewing will be held at Pietryka Funeral Home at 5734 W. Diversey, Chicago IL on May 9, 2026 from 1-5.
