Victoria “Vicki/Doña” Vicki” Navarrete was a caring and loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, great-great grandmother, sister, and beloved friend. She was a loving, elegant, sassy, and passionate woman who will be dearly missed by all of her family and close friends. She departed this earth abruptly on July 30th, 2022, at the grand age of 101. She closed her eyes and was at rest while surrounded by her loving family and friends.
Victoria was brought into the world on November 15th, 1920, by her cherished parents, Julio and Ramona Navarrete. After finishing her schooling, she went on to meet her 1st husband, Jose Orozco. Unfortunately, Jose would be laid to rest at the young age of 30. Victoria and Jose brought up 5 children together and are survived by Salud Rios, Felipe Orozco, Estela Rodriguez, and Carmen Maldonado, with their eldest daughter, Guadalupe Corona passing in 2019.
Years after laying her late husband Jose to rest, Victoria met and married Antonio Castellanos. Together they raised 2 children: Margarita Castellanos and Ramona Castellanos. Antonio would later be put to rest at the age of 80.
Victoria is survived by her adoring family and 166 grandchildren. If you knew Vicki you knew her grandchildren were her world!
She was someone that enjoyed life to the absolute fullest, loved to travel the world, and was always up for an adventure (or two!). Her favorite place to visit while traveling was Guadalajara, Mexico. In her free time, you could find Victoria playing her favorite game of lotería at the Consilio in Cicero, IL.
We know that God is delighted to have one of His kind and generous angels back in his arms, where she belongs. The vigil will be held on August 5th at Pietryka Funeral Home followed by mass and burial service on August 6th at St. Pius V Catholic Church.
